Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri is a famous Indian actor who earned popularity for her part in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun as well as Beta Saajan. She began her acting career in early 1980s. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab earned her an enormous amount of attention. She then acted alongside Aamir In Dil. In Mumbai where she grew up, she was by middle class parents. When she was a young age, she began to learn dance. At the age of 16 she started acting, and was a victim for a few years because most of her first films were failures. They gained fame, and soon she was one of India's leading film actresses. After her marriage, she took some time away from performing until she returned. She played a major role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian distinction in India. She is known for her social works as well.
